Evan Mann
Evan Mann joined the Ostrander panel at the start of the 2017 – 2018 season. Though primarily an actor and musician, he has worked as a director, writer, coach of actors and stage manager (though he doesn’t, admittedly, do the latter very well). Prior to living in Memphis, Evan trained and performed in Michigan, Chicago, and Kentucky. He is especially interested in voice work and movement, as well as textual analysis, and appreciates that a good script well-staged can take many, many forms—and often does in our community. Locally, he has acted with Cloud9, CentreStage Theatre, Playhouse on the Square, and POTS@TheWorks. He was the 2017 Playwright in Residence for the Tennessee Williams Tribute in Columbus, MS.
Evan looks forward to spending more time in the vibrant discoursive community that the Ostranders cultivates and appreciates the responsibility to recognize and celebrate the wealth of diverse talent in Memphis. More than anything, he is honored to steward the legacy of Jim Ostrander, and the privilege of sitting in the audience.
