Candy bartlett
Candy is a freelance costume designer, working with community and high school theaters across the MidSouth since 1998. Her designs have received multiple nominations and received the Outstanding Costume Design Award from the Orpheum Theater High School Musical Theater Awards. Favorite designs include a 1960s themed Much Ado About Nothing, Zombie Prom, Beauty and the Beast, and Lucky Stiff. Candy also serves as a member of the MidSouth Fair Youth Talent Competition Committee, an organization that stages an annual event attracting talented instrumentalists, vocalists, dancers, and other performers from multiple states and awarding over $100,000 in scholarships and prizes. Candy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Carson-Newman University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Tennessee, and served for many years as Vice President, Corporate Counsel, and National Director of Regulatory Affairs for several publicly traded health care corporations. She currently operates a consulting service, providing government relations, grassroots campaigns, and coalition strategies at the federal level and in state legislatures across the country. Candy is married to attorney Joe Bartlett and is the proud mother of LA based actress and screenwriter Jade Halley Bartlett.
